As we approach the end of another transformational year, I find myself reflecting on the challenges faced by women in crisis or unplanned pregnancies and single mothers and their children. Our faith serves as a beacon of hope in times of uncertainty and challenge. Faith inspires us to extend love, kindness, and understanding to those in need. It is with this faith that we embark on a mission to empower and remind our moms that they are not alone. The resilience and strength exhibited by these women have inspired us to redouble our efforts in providing support, compassion, and resources.

Our Board of Directors has cast a powerful vision for Thrive’s next steps as we grow to meet the extensive needs of our community. We invite you to attend our Mission Mom: Ignite Hope event on March 7, 2024. Details to follow, but prepare to be transformed and inspired!

In the spirit of the season, let us take a moment to think BIG and consider the next step for these women as they build for their future. Bridging the distance for single moms and their children from a residential program to affordable housing solutions that keep them rooted in the community involves a comprehensive approach. Collaborating with our local community to create a support network has been crucial to their successful reintegration. That makes YOU part of the change.

This reality calls us to action, to extend a helping hand and create a community that uplifts and empowers.

Our organization has witnessed their incredible stories throughout the year and cheered them on to victories! These women are not defined by their circumstances but rather by their strength, courage, and the love they hold for their children.

Thanks to the unwavering support of compassionate individuals, churches, foundations, and community partners like you, we've made significant strides in providing essential resources, counseling, and a supportive community to these women. From education initiatives to access to healthcare and childcare services, our programs are making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.

A sweet testimony shared with us just last month:

“God really has given me an understanding that I never thought I would have!! In each Bible plan that I choose or even on the daily devotional He speaks to me when I feel the weakest. He puts the perfect words for me to realize that it’s not with my strength but with His. Sometimes I get so anxious and want to do everything at once and fail to remember that He is always on time, never late... I feel like now He has me in the desert because it’s the way I can keep my focus on Him and Him only. He needed to put me here so that He can fulfill His purpose in my life. Like I said before, I don’t think He placed me here because I was homeless, I feel like He placed me here because my heart needed to be restored, my faith needed to be renewed and even when the devil tells me that I HAVEN’T accomplished anything, God tells me that I am closer and closer to Him each day.
